D&D Next Playtest
(AKA Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition)

D&D Next Playtest: Character Creation
Here's a chance to create characters and get some help with the new rules. Work with our DM’s to build characters for the playtest adventures and have more time to play. Or just stop by and ask questions about the D&D Next rules.

Start Times:
            Friday: 9AM
            Saturday: 9AM
Play Length: 4 hours

D&D Next Playtest: Reclaiming Blingdenstone (Lvl 1)
Blingdenstone, a city that was once the home of thousands of svirfneblin (deep gnomes) and the only safe refuge in the northern Underdark, is in ruins. Although a brave band of svirfneblin struggles to reclaim the city, the gnomes cannot do so without help. The power to aid them is in the hands of the adventurers.  A D&D Next Playtest adventure for 1st level characters.

Start Times:
Friday: 2PM and 7PM (two parts)
Play Length: 8 hours

D&D Next Playtest: The Isle of Dread (Lvl 6)
Rumors of treasure and mystery have lured the characters across the ocean to an island known to its natives only as the Isle of Dread. The characters move inland in search of an ancient city built upon a plateau. Hidden within that site are the secrets of the natives’ ancestors and untold wealth. Evil also awaits. A D&D Next Playtest adventure for 6th level characters.

Start Times:
Saturday: 2PM and 7PM (two parts)
Play Length: 8 hours

D&D Next Playtest: The Mud Sorcerer’s Tomb (Lvl 14)
Centuries ago, the cruel, sadistic mud sorcerers foresaw their cult’s demise and concocted a plan to outlive their adversaries. Retreating beneath the surface, the powerful members of the cult’s ruling council constructed hidden tombs filled with complex traps and immortal guardians. To these crypts they retreated, content to relax in temporal stasis until their enemies had vanished. One of these ancient resting places has been discovered, intact and unexplored. Do you have what it takes to obtain the fabulous treasures that await you in the mud sorcerer’s tomb? A D&D Next Playtest adventure for 14th level characters.

Start Times:
Sunday: 9AM and 2PM (two parts)
Play Length: 8 hours

Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition

D&D Adventure: Halls of Undermountain
Beneath the streets of Waterdeep, a sinister dungeon awaits adventurers brave enough to face its perils. Created ages ago by the wizard Halaster, the sprawling dungeon is a lair for terrible monsters and ruthless villains. In the dark chambers, they hunger for victims and plot the downfall of those who dwell on the streets above. Who will unravel the twisting labyrinth to reveal its secrets, claim its treasures, and stop the foul machinations of the dungeon’s denizens? Take part in three separate Halls of Undermountain adventures over the course of the convention. Characters will level from 1st to 5th between designated sessions as you adventure, so you won’t fall behind if you have to skip a session.

D&D Adventure: Halls of Undermountain – Zarr’s Invincible Army (Lvl 1-2)
This adventure pits the characters against a half-elf mercenary who has taken control of two small tribes, on kobold and one goblinoid. Through luck and superior leadership, the half-elf and his growing army have secured a small section of Undermountain, and they are growing their numbers as they prepare to launch a larger campaign.

Start Times:
            Friday: 9AM, 2PM, and 7PM (three parts)
Play Length: 12 hours

D&D Adventure: Halls of Undermountain – Tombs of Dayan (Lvl 3-4)
This adventure sees the heroes infiltrating a domain controlled by the vampire Dayan and his undead servants. Dayan is using the power and knowledge gained from a secret laboratory left behind by a long-dead necromancer whose identity is lost in the fog of time. This area of Undermountain also contains long-forgotten tombs that provide Dayan with an abundant supply of corpses to fuel his ambitions.

Start Times:
            Saturday: 9AM, 2PM, and 7PM (three parts)
Play Length: 12 hours

D&D Adventure: Halls of Undermountain – Scaly Doom (Lvl 4-5)
This adventure finds the heroes investigating the disappearance of indigents and criminals in the southwestern section of the first level of Undermountain. As the characters begin their investigation, they also hear rumors that a band of unscrupulous treasure seekers could be working in the area. While the evidence appears to point at first to a gang of thieves being behind the disappearances, the truth may turn out to be something a bit more unsettling.

Play Length: 8 hours
